Charlie and his family are very poor. They have cabbage soup every night. His grandpa worked with Willy Wonka when he was younger at the world's famous Chocolate factory. But, Oh No! Secret spies are stealing his recipes and building their own shops. So Willy Wonka has to shut down his factory. Every year for Charlie's Birthday all he gets is one candy bar of Willy Wonka's chocolate bars. One candy bar lasts him a whole year because he only has a tiny bite of the chocolate a week. You haven't even heard the best part yet. Willy Wonka is going to open up the factory. Willy Wonka Sends out 5 golden tickets in his candy bars for 5 kids. Most of the kids that get the golden tickets are VERY rich and VERY greedy and their parents will do anything for them to get the golden tickets. Charlie's birthday is coming up. Will he get one of the golden tickets? I sure hope so! This is a great book I hope you will get a chance to read it! It is also in Avon Elementary's library.
